I have worked in entrepreneurship, business development, branding, product design, visual and online education design, and UX/UI.
Most of what I do comes down to working out how the pieces fit together, and who they are for.
Research is mostly how I check whether what I think is happening is what is actually happening. The rest is working out what can realistically ship, and arguing for the version still worth building.
Tooling
Artificial intelligence
A working partner, not a shortcut.
I use AI throughout the process. Speeding up research, analysing qualitative and quantitative data, exploring ideas, reviewing prototypes against usability and WCAG accessibility principles, refining UX copy, building and evolving design system components, and shaping content strategy for AI-driven search (GEO).
It means faster iteration, structured critique, and more rigorous testing of ideas across several projects at once. Human judgement, user needs and business context stay at the centre of every design decision.
Practice
Current design workflow
From proof of concept through to developer handover, and how the design system keeps it consistent.
Design and delivery
HTML is included in handover where it saves build time.
Design system
Built in Figma and in code, then checked against itself.
The semantic layer
The same colour, named three ways.
var(--accent)→orange-600→action.primaryOnly the last one still holds after a rebrand. It names the decision rather than the value, which is what makes generated output predictable.

Beyond work
What keeps the work steady
I am a proud father. The rest of it is nature, Tai Chi, meditation, breathwork, trail running, and early morning swims in the Atlantic.
I make prints for free play.
